Over 70 stalls selling the best of the west food, vintage and handmade including traders from Bristol’s amazing Magpies&I Market who are joining us for the day
So, we looked at the dates for the second Sunday of every month and March’s Sunday falls on Mother’s Day – Sunday the 10th.
We panicked at first – how were we going to tempt all those mums and daughters and sons down to the market instead of them staying at home for breakfast in bed, or going out to a pub lunch.
Well, we think we’ve done it!
Not only will we have over 70 stalls selling everything from delicious macaroons to juicy olives to cider to delicate iced cookies and handmade preserves to vintage and handmade clothes, jewellery, ceramics, art, candles and more – but we also have our very own vintage pamper corner.
We’ll be holding a vintage afternoon tea (with cakes and cookies from some of our fab stallholders) served on vintage china which you can prebook by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org telling us your name, number in your party and preferred time.
Alongside the tea will be live music from three amazing local acts throughout the day. Jazz from the Boiling Wells Hotfoot Jazz Band and sultry vintage songs from The Cat’s Pyjamas and Miss Cherry Bomb (below).
Vintage bible Pretty Nostalgicwill be there too and they are giving away limited edition goodie bags so grab ’em while you can. And the original and best makeover team, The Pop Up Parlour will be on hand to primp and preen you, along with a fab nail technician to give you some gorgeous talons for the week ahead. Plus at 12pm there is a puppet show to entertain those little ‘uns should mums want a break.
So come along and treat mum – or treat yourself instead!
