The Bath Artisan Market is offering one free pitch for students per month, plus a series of “suitcase spaces” for a fiver each. Find out how…
Where can you spend Sundays in Bath for free? The Bath Artisan Market at Green Park Station, that’s where! We take place once a month on the second Sunday from 10am-4pm and are Bath’s version of London’s Spittlefields – a meeting of creative minds from artists to designer-makers to local food producers to musicians to vintage sellers. And we have a very special offer for students…
If you haven’t visited us before, let us fill you in on what we’re about. We’re run by local people who’s mission is to create a vibrant and atmospheric meeting place that supports businesses in and around the city and the community. That’s why we are delighted to offer one free pitch to a different student enterprise per month.
Whatever you have to sell, we want to know about it, from clothes to homewares to textile design to books to art to food to vintage to a social enterprise and so on. Every month we will choose a different idea to take the free pitch and feature the winner on our social media and talk to the press about them too. Plus winners will gain exposure to the public and experience through selling with us and be able to talk to experienced small businesses that have a wealth of experience and contacts. Plus hopefully make some money too!
How to apply for a free pitch
In order to apply for a pitch simply email firstname.lastname@example.org with “Free Student Pitch” in the subject box and tell us what you plan to sell with pictures or weblinks. We back anything that is fair trade, ethical, local, sustainable and original. So we won’t be accepting goods bought wholesale from China but will look at anything made in the UK and especially by yourself. Or clever upcycling ideas or initiatives. So if you’re interested get in touch!
Suitcase Stalls for a Fiver
But don’t worry if you’re not successful, there are other ways to get involved. We are also offering several smaller suitcase-size space for £5 each for students and jobseekers only. Again email us on email@example.com with details and if we accept you, bring along a suitcase full of your wares on the day.
Other ways to get involved
We are also always looking for people to get involved with promotion, from distributing flyers to featuring us on radio and in print.
We also have a performance space for live acts and music.
We are also always looking for art exhibitions and workshops.
If you are interested in any of the above please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Come and spend Sunday with us!
Of course, you might want to just come and browse instead – and you are more than welcome! We have over 70 different stalls selling street food, vintage, clothes, homewares and art and always have different themes and music too. It’s the perfect place hangover-soothing atmosphere to hang out in on Sunday afternoons, the ideal place to have a late, delicious breakfast or lunch and the perfect shopping ground to find yourself something unique, affordable and bespoke for yourself too.
We have lots of different themes and entertainment running through the year. Keep checking our website for details of forthcoming events. For example, on March 10th we have a vintage tea party special, ideal for Mother’s Day. Come along and treat mum or spoil yourself and your friends instead. See you soon!
