Live Music from 11.15am

After the success of their Bath Folk Festival performance at the Bath Artisan Market’s Free Folk Music Sunday in August, young folk trio Kadia are back for a free lunchtime performance. They’ll be bringing their blend of contemporary and folk music and entertain you with everything from their own songs to covers of current pop hits. Remember their version of Katy Perry’s ‘Roar’ in August? Amazing.

Kadia will be followed by Marick Baxter and friends who will play rousing Irish folk tunes.

Meet a TV star!

Syd from The Stencil Shed. Friendly and famous.

We’re very pleased to welcome back graffiti artist Luke Hollingsworth, who came second in this year’s Shed of the Year competition that aired on Channel 4. Luke, aka Syd uses his shed as his workshop, hence his business name The Stencil Shed. Find him just inside the foyer door this Sunday and watch his starring performance on the show below.

Cider Bar

We’re also delighted to welcome Dorset’s Marshwoodvale Cider to our market on October 12th and looking forward to tasting their Real Cider which is fermented for an average of 6 months and finished in oak barrels – a process that they describe as producing a very satisfying cider with almost all of the sugar fermented out to alcohol. They’ll be bringing their tables and chairs too so you’ll be able to sit and enjoy the music with a lovely glass of the appley stuff.

Dedicated Kids’ Craft Area – with more free activities than usual!

This month we have not one free activity on offer for kids, but three! We’re lucky enough to have three different stalls with a range of paid-for things to do, but that are also offering one free project each too – so little ones can do up to three things for free! Twinkle Rose will be helping kids create collages using out of leaves, paper and paint, Happy Inkers have a range of stencils that kids can use to print with for free on paper and Annie Price is bringing small ceramic pieces in shapes like feet, shoes, hats, hearts, prams, bears that can be painted for free and strung onto ribbon.

In addition to the free activities, Twinkle Rose will be teaching jewellery making and have lucky dip bags, Happy Inkers have a range of products from notebooks to T-shirts that can be printed onto and taken home that day and Annie Price will have larger ceramic pieces that can be paid-for and painted to. All from just £3.

Delicious seasonal and artisanal food

As ever the market will be bursting with original and talented traders, especially when it comes to food. Coffee favourites The Greatest Little Coffee Box will be back for their winter residence with us, alongside Natural Flames Wood-Fired Pizza, Henny and Joe’s Bath-made chai, quiches and pies from Chris Cross Deli, brownies from The Vineyards’ Bakery, breads from Winnies’ bakery, tea blends from the Alchemist’s Tea, West Country Fudge and marshmallows from Eat Toast Dunk Me. And of course, there will be our ever impressive range of original art and craft sellers all of whom are hand-picked by us.

What’s not to like? Pop it in your diary and see you there.

September: The season of turning leaves, new shoes and back to school. Which is why our September 14th market is packed full of fresh ideas, recipes, designs and inspiration from our stallholders, along with some fabulous on-the-day offers for all ages.

Special Guest: Wiltshire workshop venue @theFarm.

10% off workshops @theFarm

We’re delighted to welcome @theFarm, a workshop venue in West Wiltshire in the sleepy village of Broughton Gifford, just 20 minutes from Bath. There is also plenty of free parking, unlike in the centre of Bath!

While the atmosphere may be laid-back, all the tutors are highly experienced and offer a range of entertaining but high-quality classes from upholstery to lampshade making to crochet. Click here for further details about what’s on offer. And if you see anything you’d like to try, visit their stall at Green Park Station on September 14th and take advantage of their 10% discount offered exclusively at our market on that day only.
